Haowei Wang was born in Shanghai, China in 1982. He received his bachelor degree of computer science and engineering from Tongji University in 2005. From March 2005 to February 2006 he worked for Huawei Technology, Shanghai R&D Center as an embedded software test engineer of GSM devices. In 2006 he began his study in Stuttgart, where he attended an international master program of information technology (INFOTECH) and focused on embedded system engineering. After receiving his master degree in 2009, he joined the Institute of Operation System and Computer Science (IBR) of TU Braunschweig as a research assistant, where he conducted research concerning wireless sensor networks. From March 2010, he joined the group led by Prof. Martin Vossiek.
